Our Tradition of self-support suggests that the expenses for the group’s operation such as rent, literature, insurance, public outreach, supplies, PO box rental, Group Representative and Information Service Representative expenses be met first. Funds in excess of an ample reserve are used to help support local and area structures and the World Service Office.” (Al-Anon/Alateen Service Manual 2022-2025, p.109)
After each group meets its direct expenses and prudent reserve, many groups are able to donate excess funds to its service arms. These include the World Service Office, So Cal World Service, Los Angeles Central Office; and District 33. Group Contributions are made per meeting group conscience. The group can choose what they want to donate to each service arm. The following are suggested percentages per GR District 33 vote.
